Hi folks.

Did you see the doppler radar? There is a huge wall of rain headed our way just west of Freddy beach and it will be here soon, ie the next 1-2 hrs so I am going for a quick spin from my place now.

Donut said...

You are right Rat, not looking so good out there, We'll make this ride on another day..

Thank goodness for doppler. Would have been a long miserable ride to Stanley.I did go but got overconfident and "flew close to the sun", got caught in some rain and wet roads. Had I stuck to 45k instead of 62 would have been dry.

Off to Halifax for 24 hours. Hope to commute Thursday morn.

If the roads are dry tomorrow morning, I'll be commuting to work. Anyone care to join me for a morning ride??

Attention all commuters and riders of the Burton Loop. They have been working on my commuting route lately and although it will eventually be for the better with smooth pavement for the moment both sides of the Burton Loop suck! The worst of the two is the Maugerville side, it is all dug up and will vibrate the crap out of you! The airport side is also dug up but they have started paving so very soon it will be smooth as silk for the entire construction zone whereas right now it is about 3 K's. So, for the present week at least, all commuting will be done on the south side of the river, both ways. This means the meeting place should change. The new meeting place will be a the UNB gates, the corner of University Avenue and Beaverbrook Street, (the continuation of Dundonald). I should pass there about 7:40, I will cross the pedestrian bridge and go along the paved trail. If you plan to ride the commute, perhaps you should blog. Plus, the Friday night ride should be changed unless you like a vibrating machine!!

Thinking about changing tomorrows ride to Mount Hope - unless there are any objections. Haven't done it in a while.

Everyone is welcome to either come on the ride and to the social afterwards, or just stop by even if you can't make the ride.

I just road in from Oromocto via the airport and there is only 2K of rough road. Good news is they are paving as I write this so hopefully that side of my commute will be smooth by tomorrow. I will meet any other commuters at the UNB gates at 7:40 tomorrow morning!
