I can't tell you how much I am looking forward to this Saturday. Haven't been out on the bike in two weeks due to work.

Taking Friday off, and then I'm really going to enjoy my sex in the country.

Working in Woodstock this day then days at home Friday 'til next Wed so my rides can only be evenings. Sorry I am missing the commutes what with Mini-Me (Donut) being out and all.

Will be there for the Ribs but not the Ride.

People need to start thinking about who they think we will "Love" for the next year. Can Zorro defend his crown at the Ribs?

Just a note that a friend of mine has a Cervelo Soloist (aluminum) for sale at what I think is a good price of $1000. His take on it is that it is too stiff for his back. However, maybe not for yours. If interested give me a call. Or, see you on the weekend.

Wow....What a fabulous ride along the Kingston Peninsula today. The scenery was stunning. I am wiped and my old knees are in pain from the hills, but we had a blast. I recommend this route.

Omni said...

Stinky,

Have you not ridden the OSB Canada Day Peninsula rides before? It is definitely one of my favourite lumpy areas of the Provence.

I have also discovered several nice & rolling rides in New Hampshire this summer ... at some point, I'll get them all mapped to share.

Will I be able to get a ride tomorrow from Turbo's with someone?

Started the day beeing mad, finished it laughing myself to tears.
Everything else in between was perfect!
Thanx for all,to make this possible.
A special Thanx to Darleene and Turbo for the fabulous food and the great hospitality! :O)
I think the video should go viral!

What a great day yesterday! The weather was perfect, the ride seemed so comfortable with just the right number of stops and the Park was so fun. I watched Dish laugh harder than I have ever seen on many occasions during that adventure. I am glad that he and Donut had some time on the teeter totter and the Merry Go Round. A new form of male boning.
The evening was perfect too and lots of laughs. I would say NO to the video going viral:) I am currently looking for the best place to put up my STAR.

Thanks Turbo and Darlene for an epic day.

Please note the typo above...I intended to type BONDING not BONING! Even I wouldn't stoop that low.

What a wonderful, memorable day yesterday. You know you had a great day when your belly hurts from both eating and laughing. I appreciate how this ride always seems to bring out the child in each of us.

A huge thank you to Darlene and Turbo for hosting a fantastic event.

Thanks Darlene and Turbo for an awesome evening. It is clear to see that you guys went to alot of work putting this day all together, but I gotta say it was well worth it. Can't wait for next year.

Nice reminder of why it is nice to be part of OSB..:)

It is Sunday morning and we miss you guys already.

Truly a big day in our summer planning calendar for reasons so evident in all the prior posts. Ride & Ribs / Sex in the Country is a MUST DO for us and we will go to great lengths to make it happen.

Even though we totally killed the 'Park' section of this ride this year, I do feel we can come up with more unique events next year. We just need a stick of butter and I know we can get Stinky through the basketball thingy; and butter might also work wonders for the toddler swings. And Dish... well Dish... you gave me one of the best laughs of my day or month for that matter. That bullfrog is still bouncing.

But all fun aside, we were just saying that the joy in that ride are the connections and conversations that a double pace line in quiet, beautiful countryside brings with it. OSB is a gift, really - friends and exceptional rides and experiences.

Eco says thanks to all for the support in the latter part of the ride and hills when her legs had nothing left to give. What a wonderful bunch to be with.

Jazz says we will hold off on buying our own star until we see how it works out for Bubbles & Rat.

From BC Greg;

howdy - how was ride & ribs? i thought about you guys eating ribs while i was pedaling uphill for what seemed like forever yesterday.

did the crater lake century (crater lake national park) today in southern oregon. what a beautiful ride. they advertise it as the most beautiful century ride in US.... and now i believe it. starts off in fort klamath at about 4200 ft, pancake flat for 40k, then the climbing starts. next 40k is all uphill. not steep but just forever. then you get to crater lake after about 80k and then you spend the next 50k riding completely around crater lake. altitude is all from 7000ft - 7800ft for that entire 50k. that 50k was hard. incessant rolling climbs. really beautiful though. luckily the last 35k is totally fast downhill. 165k - 5-3/4 hours.

No one touched my record of 5 racks right?

Greg

Darlene & Turbo,

Our most heartfelt thanks for hosting this event. The setting, your preparation, the food... just everything, is perfect. It is hard work and alot of planning, that is so evident, but you make it seem effortless, and welcome us into your home with such warmth and grace.

Who is this '&amp' character that keeps showing up in our posts? Is someone trying to infiltrate the club?!! Maybe he/she will show up on the next ride..... Either I have computer gremlins or the blog does not like the ampersand symbol. Anyone else have this happen?
