It doesn't look good, but if the roads are dry in the a.m. I will be commuting to work. Blog if I should look for you! Due to a conference in St. John I will not be commuting for the rest of the week. Stay tuned for the weather and schedule for next week, it has to be better than this week.

Correction, I will be riding to Oromocto tomorrow, Thursday morning and returning to F'ton around noon. If anyone wishes to commute, just blog so that I will look for you. (Definitely no commuting on Friday)

I've always wondered what's going on in Smoothie's head when he gets that glassy-eyed, thousand-yard stare on the morning commute .... haven't you?

Well now I believe I may understand Commuter Dreams.

Who is riding tomorrow, Monday?? How about going out around 9:00?

Mel said...

Here is a deal you can't refuse. I've been for my Thanksgiving ride already, it's windy out there! If you want to ride this afternoon, here's the deal. Ride downwind to Casey's before Jemseg and I'll pick you and a friend up a deliver you back upwind to your door. All this for a coffee and a piece of pie! Offer good for two, three or possibly four cyclists. Let me know ASAP via email, blog or home phone. Without the wind, it's a beautiful day!

your offer sounded great smoothie, even with a tail wind I feel like the lung capacity of an fly. Hoepfully we can get together soon.

Mel said...

When and where? I'm in. Too many solo rides lately!

NoShoes said...

Any time after 2pm I am in!

Stinky said...

Noshoes, what time exactly after 2? I want to go for about 80km so I don't want to start too late. Smoothie, what time were you thinking? How about the Hunter Road loop?

Donut said...

Hey Stinky,

I'm tied up until noon, if your heading out after that you can count me in..

Stinky said...

Does 1:00 at the SS work for everybody?

Sorry NoShoes, but 2:00 is just too late because I have a supper commitment. Rob is gone for a few days so I can't refuse someone else's cooking. :)

Donut said...

See ya's at SS for 1:00

zorro said...

Stinky said...

Yes, fun in a painful way for me.

Great hurt fest: out Hanwell to Hunter Road and back in old Highway.
Good route call by Big D considering
wind direction. Maybe he really is turning into "Mini Me" . Papa Rat would have been so proud. Thanks to Smoothie, stinky, Big D, No Shoes Dan and Donnie.

Dido on the ride, was nice to get out with the group as its been awhile. We will have to try and make it happen again before the end of season. Dan and Donnie, it was great to see ya's.

A sweet deal on sweet wheels!

All,

Just what you need to pimp your ride for next spring ... a set of the same hoops that Cadel Evans and BMC rode through le tour in July: a set of 2011 Easton EC90 Aero tubular wheels. At 56mm deep with ceramic bearings (R4SL hubs) and weighing only 1335 grams for the set, they're just the thing to put a Cheshire cat grin on your face and keep you at the front of the peloton through 2011.

I just so happen to have a brand-new set of these wheels - neither tyre nor cassette have adorned them ... but, I must admit, they have been out of the box once - the plastic wrap was left on and no one drooled on them. In light of a forthcoming change in my circumstance, my initial thought of a Cevélo S3 (or R5) to sport these hoops will not be and, sadly, the wheels are destined for a new home.

The rear wheel has the SRAM/Shimano cassette body installed - if your taste is more Italian, a Campy body is available. Easton lists this wheel-set at $2K USD ... you can find the 2009 & 2010 models on E-bay for $1300 - $1400 USD (plus shipping and customs). Before I list these wheels on-line, I'd be open to selling them locally and am asking $1400.00 CAD.

Questions, interest, want to haggle ... drop me a note.
