You guys should try and make it out for the Tour de Vin this Saturday. Registration is available at Radical Edge. It's $60, you get a $40 tax receipt, a free post event supper and 3 or 4 wine/bread/cheese stops along the route. I think it's 50k, and when I went a couple of years ago, the pace was around 25kph. It's alot of fun. Especially after the first couple of wine stops! Click No Doubt for event website.

If the weather cooperates is there a commute Smoothy for Wed Sept8 and the rest of the wekk?
I am in for any and all.

Rainy day today, doesn't look good to commute. Plus, Thursday and Friday I will not be going to work so although I may ride, depending on the weather, there is no "official" commute. Check back for next week!

Hey Zorro,

Count me and Stafford, oops I meant B-Sexy in for 530 at the SS. Do you think we have enough daylight to make the Hunter Road Loop? Just an option, really makes no difference.

zorro said...

Hey Max Tan & B-sexy: sounds good I will see you guys at 530SS. We can decide on route at 530.

The pictures are great. You did a wonderful job. Too bad your biking partner sucked at taking pictures of you. What a great time in Cape Breton. I am still tired.

Hi Leah, I am not able to ride now...sorry, trust me, I really want to. maybe easy ride tomorrow. I'll see what the weather brings and check the blog.

No worries. I'm doing Tour Du Vin tomorrow, so probably won't ride in the morning.

Maybe Sunday though - I'll check the blog too.

Anyone else want to pull me - 'er, I mean ride with me this afternoon? I'll take a pull, I promise.

...and, on the subject of back to school, check out this public awareness campaign in BC

Is anybody riding tomorrow? I am riding the Tour de Vin, but I was thinking of adding extra kms before the tour. I was looking at doing 50 or 60 in the morning.

Donut said...

Planning to get out in the morning as well, not sure what time your thinking but earlier would work for me. Weather looks like it is going to clear. I'll check the blog later on tonight..

Plan to ride in the AM, for lack of time posted. I suggest 0830 SS to allow the roads dry.
Feel free to adjust if you have some hard committments.

Stinky said...

I am only going to leave around 10:00. I have something to do before that.

Mel said...

Stinky, where do you want to meet at 10? Ride, lunch then Tour de Vin?

Stinky said...

Hey Smoothie:

Let's meet at the SS for 10:00. From there we will decide on a route.

Donut said...

Hey Turbo,

I'll See ya at the SS for 830..

Turbo said...

0830 route- SS- up to Bishops, across knowledge park, dump road, (short) across to Nasonworth, (long) out to whittaker road, back in NW hwy.

Mel said...

A word of advise to all OSB riders. If you want to enjoy the pancakes at FUSION in Woodstock, they are closed Sunday! How do I know? Rat, Firebird and I road up from King's Landing today just to find this out, bummer! We had breakfast at the Log Cabin (not as good). 140 K's round trip, great ride. Thanks guys.

zorro said...

Anyone in for Mon 530SS. Off the bike all weekend , I need a fix bad.
Blog if in.

Bubbles said...

Another word of advice to OSB riders...think twice before you venture to do 140K with Firebird, Rat and Smoothy! Sounds like punishment to me.

Mel said...

Oh, did Rat tell you his muscles were sore? I didn't think they got sore??

Stinky said...

Zorro, I will be there for 5:30.

Smoothie, I have your arm warmers. Sorry I forgot to return them yesterday. So, you rode about 100kms yesterday and 140kms today. Impressive.... My friends Denise and Michelle asked me to say thank you for lunch yesterday.
