I'll be out tonight.
The Wilsey Rd I assume is the Dump Rd, Cookie?
From a flow point of veiw ie fewer traffic lights and better surface what would the group think of going up Hanwell to Bishop and across by Kents to the road around the mall to the new Maryland Hwy? I do that section alot after previuosly doing the York-Regent route and find the Hanwell-Bishop much better.
Overall love cicuit for tonight.

Oh another thing about doing a modification of the start is the strong NW wind will send us flying across Bishop easily at 40+km/h. Criss-crossing up York will get the torture of the climb without the benefir of the wind.

Crit tomorrow night (Tuesday) at 6:30pm in the Vanier Industrial Park.

WOW! What a ride! It didn't matter which way the wind was blowing, there were monster and I mean MONSTER pulls out there! What a blast!

Holy CRAP that was a hard ride tonight! Good job guys. Special credit to Smootie who was struggling tonight but hung in there and never complained a bit. Well... actually he did blame me for the wind at one point.

Hey Smoothie,

Is there a commute for Tuesday am? If so let me know.
If not I thought i would head out in the am 0700 and do the reverse burton bridge loop and go back via the marysville bypass and crocket street.

I gotta comment on tonight's ride. There are two things. One is there is no way I would be motivated enough to cycle that hard either with the wind or against the wind on my own. Strength in numbers and motivation too. Thanks for giving me the motivation to pedal as hard as you guys! The other thing, is that I think I enjoyed the ride more into the wind than with the wind. At least into the wind, it slowed guys like JG, Rat, Mitch, Jamie so that I could follow in the draft. Downwind was way too fast and the bumps were coming up fast and furious. Tough to take your hands off the bars at 40 K/Hour and try not to fall. All good, you are right Cookie, I was struggling but I don't complain. See you on the road.

Thank You all for the awsome ride! I think I enjojed the downwind run way too much. Lactic acid almost got me on the way back! I was realy struggling. You guys are realy strong. Like Smoothie said, a group like yours gives Me the motivaton to ride to the limit.

Great enteries boyz, keep motivating me and each other. Sorry I missed the fun. Some funky stomach issues had me limping home from work.

It is 10:00 AM as I post this blog. Rat is still on the road riding his 100K. Thanks Rat for pulling me around Burton Loop for 65 this morning, it was great! Enjoy the rest of the ride!

Hey Smoothy,

Finished with 128km at the pace we did for the first half of the ride. Always nice to do a nice early ride and have a coffee midway.

Well dudes, we beat the crap out of each other at the crit tonight, so the ride should be tame from the shop Wed night. These crits are improving my fitness more than any other workout I do. And we have good turnouts and packs for every level to hang in with. This week there were even 5 women there. Alot of fun for $2. Hope to see some OSBers out soon. (Bubbles get that new race bike out!)

I hope the weather holds off and we can have a good turn out for the ride with our Radical brethren Wednesday night. Remember, beers afterwards!

Mel said...

Brian, Adam and I were the only ones to endure the drizzle and ride the route tonight. Thanks guys for pulling me around Mactaquac Loop! I missed the beers. Hopefully you were not all having beers without me while we rode.

I am heading out for a spin in 45 minutes. Anyone interested?

The weather forecast for tomorrow doesn't look good. I would like to hear your preferences on the following options:

1. Postpone the Cookie ride until another Friday night.

2. Meet anyways at the Stepping Stone place at 5:30 and carpool out to my mom's place for cookies.

I'm for postponing for another friday, Oma's treats are soooo much better if you feel you've earned them with a ride.
That said I'll be there even if there's no ride!

No Doubt said...

I vote to postpone

McCain said...

I vote to postpone, but really only out of selfishness because I can't make tomorrow!

Bubbles said...

What if it doesn't rain?

Stinky said...

OK...I guess I vote to postpone. I won't cry too much that we have postponed.

COOKIE RIDE POSTPONED

I hate to do it but the forecast looks pretty wet. If anyone still wants to go visit I know there are LOTS of cookies there and Mom would love the company.

Looking forward to the postponed Cookie Ride. They definitely taste delicious after riding. MMMMMM!!!

Weather looks good for the morning at this point and the roads are drying up. Is everyone ready to rumble? I assume we are still on for the Junction ride?

Cookie said...

I'm still hoping to ride tomorrow morning. It may be our only chance this weekend.

Bubbles said...

I'm IN!!!! Be nice to me, I'm just getting going. This will be my second ride...

Fantastic ride today. That's what it's all about.

Saturday AM ride, one short of a TdF team but ride like one. Tight, seamless and best of all fun. 120km from home tks to all.
Side note: all color cordinated except for one, but we promised not to publicly tease Bubble's so we can't tell you who was the fashion Faux Pas. However she is some strong on that New Argon, Bejing Fast.

Mel said...

Great ride today. Like a rehersal for our June 23rd ride, 8 team members dressed alike (get with the program, Mitch), tight group, high pace, all great. My odometer said 31.1 average at the end, very high for a ride like this. Thanks.
