Would anybody like to go for a ride tomorrow? It is supposed to be warmer.

I have to ride out to the airport to pick up a car in the parking lot this evening. We can go the long way or the short way.

I chickened out yesterday what with the cold and all but am up a tuesday 530 ride from the SSC.

Mel said...

For that pickup at the airport, would you consider a 6:30 take off?? If impossible, I guess 5:30 would also work but 6:30 means I get to have supper with Marisa.

Zorro, thanks for exceptional ride last night. (is this where I say "lucky we have Zorro who will ride in any and all conditions?")

Looks like I'll be getting that new helmet sooner rather than later.

Crashed this morning on way to work. All my fault. Stupid Stupid Stupid. Had the Trail-A-Bike hooked on (no Luke luckily) and tried to squeeze into a space jammed the Trail-a-bike into a guard-rail. Fell hard and destroyed helmet. Rattled what little brains I have. Thinking I'm lucky. And stupid. Did I mentioned I'm stupid? Yup.

Helmet smart. Jazz dumb.

Mel said...

Jazz, be careful out there, we need you! I am off to bike home against that wind!?*f#!*#

rat said...

Hey Jazz, with most peoples concern for you, We overlooked "Is the bike OK?" and It's your call But perhaps bringing trailer to pick up bottle on way to work is a bit much!!!
Giro Ionos are some nice.
seriously... Take care.

Cookie said...

Glad you're OK, Jazz. That makes me all the more adamant that we and our kids should always wear helmets, even if just riding around the block.

Jazz said...

Thanks for all your concern, gang. A little stiff today but not too bad. Did all the right things yesterday aft. and evening.

Going helmet shopping at Edge this aft. (Looking for something with dolphins or fire.) Hope to join you at 5:30.

Er, um, things may have gotten a little out of hand once or er..twice tonight on the "social" ride. I may or may not. er... have contributed to that. Possibly.

Herc and Rat, first get together, the drinks are on me (i mean literally, I'm thinking body shots?...).

Rock n roll.

I am in for 830 sun SS. Ant one else?

Hello from Portsmouth,

Weather was a tad windy, but sunny with temperatures around 70F here today.

After a long(ish) run this morning, I managed a short trip up-coast past York Beach and back (40-miles) ... it was a salty ride that felt more like 60.

Tomorrow's weather is looking even better ... Thinking of a ride up to the lakes ... just shy of 2000kms on the odo ... I've slowed a little in the past three weeks.

zorro said...

Hey Turbo you still in for sun 830SS?

Thanks for having me. Hills and brutal wind made for a different experience from my flat Windsor-based "regular" group.

This weekend is a bust due to long weekend but I expect to be out for further weekend rides in June. The workout is too good to pass up!
