I have an ultimate ride.

Head out thu New Maryland to the Junction and back in to Geary and Oromocto. Butt, in Oro. we go across the Burton Bridge and back to town via the Northside. But wait, we go around the Mrrysville bypass and at the old Cotton Mill head out to Penniac Durham bridge to Taymouth and head to Stanley. We could stop and have Breakfast. As we head back to town we turn down to Burtts Corner. Once there we turn to go around so we can climb the Wall. Heading back across the Ridge after crossing the Dam, we head and do the beloved Maz to Hanwell Rd and back into town with a detour from the Hanwell overpass to the New Maryland overpass and return in the NewMaryland Hwy around the mall out Bishop drive Hanwell turning at Prospect down to the turn by Tim's and in the Woodstock Rd to the SS Center where we started

Lazlo, I know yor up for it.
Perhaps we can Map My Ride to find out the distance.

I see week of Rat in the very near future :-)Stay tuned

Rat; Get some help.

McLeod.

Rat said...

Hey Che,

Yeah a bit extreme but would be interesting to see it mapped out.

I have to admit though a part of me would like to try it.

Laszlo said...

It would be a challange. Also a safe passage to 2 SouthEast@DECH :o)

No Doubt said...

Here it is. Click me. I put if from your doorstep and back Rat.

Rta said...

No Doubt,

I guess it is a little long, 142 miles and all those hills. Probably best to do it in stages.

Congratulations to Marlene and Allyson on amazing finishes in the Timberman 1/2 Ironman. Marlene finished in 6:03 and Ally in 6:16. Awesome!

Marlene said...

Thank you Cookie!
We had a great time, what an awesome event. Met some pro's, bargained with God on the run, and learned alot of what to do/not to do for the next one.

Laszlo said...

Way to go Marlene and Herc(Ally)!
I cannot even begin to imagine the pain and the pleasure You have experienced!

Rat said...

If the roads are dry I will be out tonight but I am heading for the Edge to get new wheels now ie 4pm from work so I hope to be there on time. If I ain't drive by the edge to get me.

By the way, River road is tore up, much of Penniac ride and Durham bridge ride are chip sealed and Mt. Hope has construction going across for the bypass extension

Turbo said...

n light of the DOT penniac report. We may have a game time decision on the route. Monday is reasonable night

Way to go Marlene and Ally. You are both amazing.

Attention,

Ride for Thursday morning. Who is in and where and when? For me anytime before 1pm.

Friday Commute without Smoothie.
I will leave My home about7pm and can meet with whom ever. I think that Turbo and I are in so far.

Jazz said...

Turbo - nice rack.

Rat - I think Greg and I are in for Thursday...later in the morning would be best, even noon? How about Holyoke, Burtt's Corner?

Also, not to impact the posted Wed ride but I have a Harvest meeting on Wed night ..so Greg and I are riding 2 until 4 tomorrow if anyone can't make the posted ride and is interested (Zorro?), let me know..
p.s. I'm kinda glad I'm going to miss the Kingsley...visions of Rat-inflicted angony still dance in my head.
Jazz

rat said...

Jazz et al,

Sounds good to me. I work at 4pm but we will be back before the if we leave by noon. I can always cut it short if need be.

Post depature time and place.

Cookie said...

I think I recall the same Rat-inflicted agony that Jazz is referring to on the Kingsley Road.

Turbo said...

Those are... Double Pack, Baby Back, Racks!
I'm on some tight time lines for thursday and friday. Hopefully our schedules can align.

Jazz said...

Did the "Reverse Mazerolle" just now ...windy and humid but a great ride. 58km with some good scenery, and lotsa climbing. And coming down Carriage Hill is a hoot with the new asphalt at the bottom. We should add that one into our "routing" more often.

zorro said...

Great Wed. Ride Turbo, rat, cyclesquash, Big"D", and Zorro. Rat thanks for the pulls on the kingsely road into a head wind.

Turbo said...

canterbury? cool, i rode down there from woodstock last night.. was late getting back to the hotel, so the 104kms put me in the dark for the last 20 mins. good thing there is only 1 car every 10 minutes. i went south 165, west 122 then north 540 along the border. not too much going on out that way

Fabulous Ride-n-Ribs. Great ride (for those of us who are tough enough, and those who aren't...not to mention any names Rat and Jazz ) and fantastic social aferward. Thanks to Turbo and Darlene for another wonderful OSB event. You are both truly OSB!
And...who loves Mitch???

Jazz and Eco-Chick said...

Thanks Turbo and Darlene for unparalleled food and hospitality.
Here come the meat sweats...

Greg said...

I just net him last week and I can honestly say "I love Mitch!!"

Cookie said...

I love you Mitch!

(I was going to post this last night when I got home last night, but was afraid that it might look a little odd out of context. Now I'm ready to shout it from the rooftops)

Stinky said...

We love you MItch.

Rob and I just wanted to say thank you to Darlene and Turbo for hosting such a wonderful event. You know you had a great time when you find yourself laughing all the way home at comments that were made and things people said or did.

Yesterday was awesome.

Marlene said...

Mitch. I do. Love you.
Turbo and Darlene, great hospitality all round, from the cooking to the clothes. Was great!

The soon-to-be-ex Senora Zorro said...

Mitch is still feeling the love folks - thanks so much!

I am so dead...

Thanks so much for such a wonderful evening. My own ribs are still aching from all the laughter.

I love you guys!

Pebbles said...

We love you MITCH.

Thanks very much for the great ribs! Never ate so many delicious ribs before. They were awesome. Thanks again to Darlene and Turbo for all your hospitality.

Rocket said...

Thanks to Turbo and Darlene,
Once again, fabulous, unbelievable ribs. I loved the deck show best.
Senora Zorro - declaring your love openly is (almost) always a good thing - last night it definitely was! Let's do that ride we planned sometime soon.

Sonya (Ms. Jazz) said...

Bubbles, I do appreciate you being ever respectful of the OSB sisterhood and only singling out Rat and Jazz in the 'those that didn't ride' camp ;-)

However, while my legs and cardio didn't get the benefit of a 70km rain ride yesterday, last night my belly got the best workout in months! Belly laughs and a a belly full of food....nothing better. Well except maybe a 70km ride prior...

Darlene & Turbo - your hospitality is unequalled and ribs divine. A huge thank you from me and my belly :-)

p.s. and of course, I too, love Mitch..... frankly, I always have, even before it became 'popular'.

Laszlo said...

Darlene & Leroy thanx for the unforgettable party and the great food.I do not remember having such fun with so many roadies, off the bike ever!
Mitch I love you too.(except your rear wheel :o)
Marlene I owe you a breakfast.
Pebbles you owe me a rocket!

I am looking to ride later this afternoon, befreo it rains of course.

Anytime, anywhere, anylength.

Mel said...

Rat: How about Mactaquac Loop, leaving around 2:30?? Anyone else? Call me at home, 472-5271

Jazz said...

Attempted to lessen the shame of not riding yesterday by riding up to Crabbe today. A very rare day with no head wind and no scorching heat. (Strange. I had tender feelings about Mitch the entire ride.) Now I feel much better than I did at 8am this morning! But the shame still remains.

Ribs, Beer and Guacamole back!

Just wanted to say thanks to Turbo and Darlene for having us over last night, and to the wetsuit crew for cooking up some great ribs.
