On Bubbles this evening - she's a very nice ride. Handles well, and shifting so smooth. Thank you. Hope to take 'er out Friday with OSB's "social spin",see if I can keep up!

That's great Marlene. I'm glad you had a good ride. I have always found it to be a comfortable bike (and all your pink will be a great match).

Great ride tonight. Zorro, Turbo, Rat, Mooze, Ally, Mayo, Bev, Dish. Big climbs, great pace. Dish was the powerhouse at the end (do we need to mention who was second?). No, I guess it wouldn't be very fair to remind the others. Let's just leave it at "girls rule" while "da boyz drool".

Happy Anniversary to Turbo and Darlene!

Hey Smoothy are yo commuting on Tuesday?

Mel said...

No, not commuting this week. My brother is visiting and I'm on a golf vacation with him. Tee off time is 9:45 at Kingswood. Next week.

OSB Exec said...

ok, we have some business to take care of. Yet another individual has been anoited with their official OSB title. "Pebbles" To etch the namesake in the proveribal stone. 3 persons must asertain the Birth name of Pebbles.
Hint: it is in reference to a recent medical condition.
Let the baptism begin.
PS- Killer Ride last night, most pain was self inflicted.

Ally said...

Amazing ride. Thanks Darren and Dish for helping up those hills. You won't have to wait for me the rest of the week. I am heading home to Grand Manan for the 1/2 marathon and 10k. If anyone wants to run, just check out Run NB website or Atlantic chip. See you next week.

Dish said...

I know who Pebbles is. Vote #1

Bubbles said...

I'm vote #2 for Pebbles. Great name. Hey, that's an interesting order...Dish, then me.

Stinky said...

I'm vote #3. Very creative.

Ally, good luck with your runs. You are a machine.

Anonymous said...

thanks Stinky...but it's Bubbles that's the machine. You should have seen her go on those hills last night. And we ran12k in the morning of hills. Tell her she has to start racing again.

Ally said...

sorry forgot to put my name

No Doubt said...

You strong women riders need to come check out our crits. Anna H. and Kelly had a bunch of young brutes on the rivet tonight. There are also usually a bunch of canada games womens riders there.

So, if you want to start racing, or riding with more female riders, here's your chance! I still can't beleive some of the attacks Anna was putting in. Holy cow. It's every 2nd Tuesday night at 6:30pm.

Ally said...

where does that start from?

No Doubt said...

On Pepin Dr. off the Vanier Ind. in by the CAT dealership.

Dish said...

Not going to be one in two weeks though, so the next one will be August 25th.

Dish said...

Nice wet ride tonight. Just myself and Jay, visiting from Calgary.

Friday's not looking so good weather wise, but we'll see what happens.

turbo said...

Rat n' Bubbles said...

Hi all, cant make it out for the ride on Friday as we have company.

Great ride Jazz. It's always great to have someone pull you along.

Hey Jazzman, just listening to some Chris Rhea. Can we get him for the HBJF? If not I would settle for Mark Knoffler. Or Rik Emmett.

Stinky said...

The new Cervelo finally arrived, but her appearance can only be made towards the end of August. I will be away rock climbing and biking for about a month.

See you all at the end of August. Happy and safe biking. Looking forward to riding with you upon my return.

Dish said...

Weather still a bit dicey for tomorrows ride and social. Probably make a decision early afternoon as to whether or not to go for it. I'll post on here.

Bubbles said...

Stinky,

Hooray about your bike! Have a great vacation. Rat and I have company and thenb are away until August 4th. See you all then.

curious said...

What will the new kits look like?

Dish said...

Sorry everyone, but it looks like the weather isn't going to co-operate tonight. No fun having a BBQ in the rain, so I am going to postpone this evenings social.

Since it is supposed to rain all day tomorrow as well, I think I am going to head up river to visit the parents, so I won't be around in the morning either.

Another time!

turbo said...

Not a problem Dish, I guess that's called a "Rain Check"
Work will probably consume me this weekend so not sure what the riding (bike) will entail.

Woody said...

Stinky! R3? Details, details!

Che from the other guys said...

Woody

Im thinking /R3 or an SL2 (Tarmac).

We should talk.

Mel said...

Is anyone interested in getting together in front of a computer or OLN tomorrow around noon to watch the final ascent up Mont Ventoux and see how the final standings of the Tour ends up?? Perhaps if the weather cooperates we can even go for a ride afterwards? It could be exciting, I know that I'll be watching!

zorro said...

Any One Interested in dooing Gagetown ride on Sunday morning???
I was thinking a (7-730am )start.

zorro said...

Hey Smoothie:
I might be up for afternoon ride if weather cooperates. Post tomorow
if interested.

Bubbles said...

RAt and I could ride 50-60 after 3.

Mel said...

Weather says "Light Rain" 'til 12:00 then "Cloudy with showers" afterwards which is often OK for riding. Watch the blog.

Turbo said...

I'm slightly attached to work for weekend so can't plan too much until knowing results of rain on river levels. However trying to get a social ride with spouses for Sunday
Doe-nut are you still thinking about it?

Anonymous said...

Hey Turbo, Still interested for the ride on Sunday with the gals, weather looks good for Sunday. Mitch, you and the misses in?

Hey Bubbles,Rat,and Smoothie: I am in for afternoon ride, how about 330pm from SS? Post to confirm.

turbo said...

Sunday Spousal 0900AM ride from SS Complex. Zorro pick a route. 60+km perhaps with a brunch break.
Can someone be BB's spouse for the day. Probably best to get a pre-nup signed for the occasion.
All are welcomed.
Very relaxed pace.

Mel said...

Look for Firebird and me at the SS for 3:30. See you there. What a Tour de France!

Bubbles said...

What's the route? Rat and I may not be able to make it by 330. He works till 300, but if we know the route, we could try to connect.

Mel said...

Why don't we ride up to your place since it will take us some time to get there, Rat can get ready. Will that work?

zorro said...

Hey Smoothie and Firebird: Iam in for 330pm at SS. We can swing by New Maryland to pick up Mr. & Mrs.
Rat.

P.S.: I like that Mrs. Rat that could stick.

TOTUTCP said...

Thanks OSB : that was a quick ride through Rusagonis - I didn't see one cow but I think they are still there! Perhaps I should drink less - naa - forget it. Zoro - I appreciate your help. Thanks.

Bubbles said...

Wow, that was a wild ride but...geez that's fun. Great to have such a big crew and TOTUTCP and No Show. Pinky, I did see one hay bail on my right when I was coughing up a lung. I'm now going to enjoy a glass (or two) of wine and make an Austrian meal.

Turbo said...

Mrs Rat is cooking!!! Send in the Clowns, or better yet run for the hills. Damm she can run and has the bike tuck down pat. but put her in the Kitchen and ... 310-30-30

Cookie, you most certainly can be my spouse. I am hoping to be there but we have company so the 0900 start may be difficult. If I am there, I'm your gal...and Turbo...very rude!

I managed to skip work tonight. Could I join the fun in the AM? I was married once before too! Wife can't make it and I couldn't find a date in such a sort notice.

No doubt said...

Oh man. Haha, definetly a good laugh. Cookie, you are THE MAN! Erin and I would love to join the ride. Heading to Hillsborough for a 5hr MTB event.. for some unnapparent reason.. so can't make it this time. Good seeing everyone again. OSB is still going strong. On and off the blog :).

Bubbles said...

OK, I've thought it over and ...NO

Omni said...

Well ... I hope you are all riding enough to support the level of banter taking place here ... 70+ posts ... jeesh!

No real hills in this part of NH, but I did manage to get in 103km on the fixie today ... still a long way to go before I'll be able to tag along with you folks.

Turbo said...

Lazlo et all, all are welcome for the Ride. Very social pace. Hey BB after sleeping on it I was rude!! Will be over for supper tonight!
What we havin? Humble Pie...

tURBO said...

CAN SOMEONE DRIVING TO RIDE THIS MORNING PLEASE BRING A PUMP, MINE IS TOAST AND TIRE PRESSURE LOW.

Cookie said...

Wow, this is great! I haven't had women fight over me since...well... never I guess. I just wish it could have come down to a cat fight in the SS parking lot. That would have been sweet!!!! :)

Bubbles said...

That was great. I wish I could have stayed for the whole ride. Marlene got a flat on the way home and well...neither of us could change the tire. We finally got a new tube in and the tire back on and she had an empty cartidge and we could get mine to work, and when we finally did, we had the tube all twisted and it was a hell of a mess. She had to hitchhike home and I rode alone. Our "spouse", was no help at all!

Marlene said...

Yes...Cookie...you should not have let your mini-harem alone and unprotected...like, what's with that?

Cookie said...

Sorry, I should have been there to "service" my ladies.

Anonymous said...

Lots of entries on the Blog and easy to see why Cookie is still single.

tank said...

Marlene:

I am not sure what to say.

I am embarrassed for those that left you to hitchhike home.

zorro said...

Hey Evil Tank: Just to clarify, Marlene and Bubbles left our ride!!!
P.S.: Good to see Evil is keeping tabs on us!!1

Marlene said...

Is OK...met a nice man in a half-ton truck.
Granted, not as handsome as Scar, however, he did rescue myself and Marinoni from deserted roadside in Lincoln.

Mrs. Zorro said...

Thanks again for an great ride, folks! It's great to feel like I'm getting some strength back - you guys are awesome support!

Bubbles - Zorro encouraged me to learn how to fix flats - just ask Mrs. Turbo! :) It's messy but kind of fun...

And we made it home for the end of the Tour - it doesn't get any better than that!

Bubbles said...

Yes, we should clarify. Marlene and I took a different route home together as we both had time constraints. We were having a great ride, sharing the pulls, working hard. Our dilemma was our own doing! And..if we hadn't used up all our cartridges we'd have got it right the second time! All good and I'm sure we'll have many great rides together in the future!

Bubbles said...

Marlene,

Ally, Cookie and I are running from my place at 6am. Feel free to join us.
