Good Fredericton showing at the Elgin 80. Kelly took top Female 80, Nick 3rd? Citizen Male 80, Jason took top Master Male 40, and Cookie, Justin and myself brought home our pride. Thanks for waiting up for me all day Justin.

As for road rides this week, I can leave York/Aberdeen at 5pm and ride down Aberdeen towards the Y. Tail lights might not be a bad idea if you have them.

For any of you out there we truly love climbing, the Elgin 80 is the race for you. Man was it ever hilly!!! It seems like we did more climbing there than in SC because you were constantly going up and down rather than doing just one mountain pass.

The race actually should suit a roadie because it has lots of climbing, lots of dirt roads and logging roads, and not very much single track.

Hey No Doubt: WE can meet you on Aberdeen at approx. 500pm.

As Adam said, there was a great crew from F'ton at Elgin - and also from Moncton, Halifax, etc., which is definitely part of the fun. I personally had a blast. Unlike Adam, Justin, & Cookie, I'm not totally sure that I brought home my pride - I may have left it in one of the many giant mud holes I fell into on the course. But I did bring home a nice pair of mtb gloves for Norman. Sadly for some of you, they fit his tiny paws perfectly.

Have you started your noon rides yet? If so I could try and hook up with you tommorow and or Friday. I work the late evenings so can't commute if you are still commuting.

Rat:
I did commute today but will not be able to tomorrow. However, I do plan to commute on Friday. I have not thought about noon rides plus we are really busy at the office so I will not be attempting them this year. I will try to ride to work as long as I can. Join me if you can.

Hey No Doubt: I will meet you at Y at 505pm. all others welcome.

I know that it's 5 days away, just posting now while I have the chance...

I'm interested in riding Monday (can't before), road or MTB, morning or afternoon, I'm pretty open... just want to get out and ride!

Post here if interested.

Adam: I'd be keen to go mountain biking tomorrow night. How about 5:15 at Odell? Marysville at 5:30 is also an option.

Marysville 5:30 sounds good Cookie. I'll be commuting at 5pm from the office going down on the walking trails. I shouldn't have a problem getting to the water towers in 1/2 hour.

Hey Smoothy,

Weather permitting ie no rain and relatively dry roads I'll commute Friday am. I assume from the Ramamda Irving at 0745.

Work midnights this weekend. Being abandoned by family on Sat with no prospect of Thanksgiving food. Any takers or should i say givers? :)

Actuallycould go for a short ride Sat/Sun am at 0900-0930 or Sat/Sun 500.

Rat,

You are more than welcome at "Casa Zorro" for Thanksgiving on Sunday if in fact you've been left abandoned for the great feast. You can arrive at five Sunday - call/email us for directions.

Cheers! Mrs Zorro

Hmmmm debating weather or not to take a recovery day Friday before the big road trip to Petitcodiac for Thanksgiving dinner Saturday. Nothing like a good 180km ride before Turkey. In-laws are still deciding on dinner time, but I imagine I'll be leaving Fred at around 8-9am if anyone is interested in a partial sendoff. Maybe out as far as Mcgowan's corner?

Anyway, back to my original thought, I may be up for a MTB ride or Road if anyone is interested after work Friday. Maybe even a beer afterwards?

Latest post on Christian Meier's blog:

"It’s official, Garmin/Chipolte is now Pro Tour after having their status granted for the next 4 years. With that said the first race of the year will be Tour Down Under, which I have already been told by director Matt White I may be doing. Not even done the season yet and we’re already talking racing for next year, hahaha."

The Sussex boy might be racing against Lance!

Zorro/Rat - Just notice that they're calling for overnight showers; will you be delaying the ride if it's raining or if the asphalt is wet?

I'm good anytime in the day, just need to arrange my day accordingly.

You can post here to confirm, I'll check later tonight and in the morning.

Just found out about a MTB ride out on the Hadley trails leaving Marysville at 11am. Been wanting to ride there for the last 2 years and missed the group rides every single time... so I think this (MTB) will take precedence over the Road now that I've managed to squeeze it in.

I'll check the weather and blogs in the morning.

post whatever time going on monday. I'm in

Anonymous said...

Yeah I saw the weather so if things aren't too wet and not actively raining I will be there. If too wet or raining will wait and see and ride after lunch.

Anonymous said...

not looking great from reports from staff coming on wet and some rain in and around so will not ride this am.

If things dry up will consider a afternoon ride going outnsomewhere between 1 an 2 even 3.
