Nice 95 km loop, passing Tripp Settlement and climbing Crow Hill, near Birdton/Burtts Corner. The road to Crow Hill is an old, sandy, unpaved military way and contains small, medium and big stones; not recommendable for road bikes. Anyway, I was riding my Colnago C50 and thought: 'You are here, so give it go'. Not a good decision. Downhill I got a flat and had to change the tubes. While fixing the bike in the middle of the woods I was stung by 1 million moscitos within 10 min! These little fellas drive you crazy! However, as you all know I'm a big fan of bears and can't wait to see the first black bear in New Brunswick. Nonetheless I thought in that moment: 'When of these guys show up now, you are done.' Luckily they kept on hiding, so I could just say hello to a big rabbit, which was sitting in the middle of the road and did not want to move. The way back to the paved road was quite tough, because I was riding for approx. 45 min in the stand only in order to avoid too much pressure on the back wheel, which could have easily caused a second flat.
@ Tracy (Stinky): Can you send me the photos, that your mother took on Friday? It looks probaby quite cool how we are climbing Carriage Hill.
@ Tracy (Stinky): When you have the chance to get the photos from your mom's camera, can you please forward them to me? That would be nice.
@ All: Does anyone know a good (Internet) shop in Canada to buy Campagnolo parts for a reasonable price? I need a new chain and cassette for my Colnago C50.
