OSB

With the weather in Portsmouth these past days, I'm trying to keep the momentum of NC. Yesterday I rode a variation of the Grand Bay loop that I turned into a tri-state ride (NH, Ma, Me) for 126km. Today, I took an easy (but warm) ride north through York, Cape Neddic, Ogunquit, then up Mount Agamenticus (mostly 9-12%, but less than a mile long).

Thanks to all of you I'm sitting at 1245km year-to-date (within 260km of my total distance last year).

Is anybody heading out for a ride this afternoon? I am thinking of going out for 2:00 if anybody is interested.

OSB - running chapter takes the gold in the Lincoln 5k mixed team cat with Ally, Nick and myself all setting PBs.

Ringo is now the 2-time, reigning, defending, undefeated K-9 Champ.

Senora Zorro, great run today. You and Gracie rocked!

Thz for the ride today rat, 70k with lots of hills and WIND!!!

Turbo said...

Away for work most of this week, enjoy the riding.

rat said...

Indeed a great ride this day with Zorro. We kicked ass, serious ass, (which is something because neither of us have one) coming home with the wind at our back. Going out we were,as Zorro said, like kites being blown around at the mercy of the wind.

Omni said...

Rat / Zorro,

I shall try to join you at 17:30 today ... if work cooperates.

Check out this address,

I was thinking of ordering a jersey, is anyone else interested??

rat said...

Hey when does the Commute With Smoothy begin?
game time decision as to whether or not will ride at 530 Wed. Will post

omni said...

Smoothie,

Better than - or in addition to - ordering the jersey, we should lobby our Provincial Government to bring the {motor} vehicle act into modern times. A safe passing law being one of the items it lacks.

Several US jurisdictions have added a 3ft clearance requirement for passing a "vulnerable road user" ... New Hampshire passed theirs last year and had a fairly descent public awareness campaign

Mel said...

Rat:
I plan to commute tomorrow (it could be cool). I leave at 7:30 to be at the regular spot by 7:45. If you are in, better call me at 7:00. My new schedule for Oromocto is Wed/Thurs/Friday, three days in a row! Hope to see you, dress warmly!

Friday 530 SS social pace any takers?

Stinky said...

I am not sure if I can make it, but I will try for a Friday night ride.

rat said...

Hey Smoothy,

Will see the weather in the am and talk to see if Bubbles is riding in the evening ie 530 with Zorro.
Perhaps I will call you in the am about 0700. I will either be heading out the door at that time or waiting 'til the evening.

Omni said...

Hey folks ...

Sadly, I cannot make the social ride tomorrow night, but am raring to go on Saturday morning!

How about an 09:30 departure from the 'Y'/SS {wherever the place is now} heading for Hamtown Corner {see links above} with a "brunch" stop in Burt's Corner...

... while stopped for brunch/coffee we can decide which way we will climb to Keswick Ridge and whether we come back through Burt's Corner to the "Geesley Road" or continue south along Keswick Ridge to the 105.

The weather outlook is less sunny, but still fine for Saturday ... a slight chance of showers late in the day.

Smoothie, Firebird ... we could pick you up en-route to Royal Road / McLeod Hill

Turbo said...

Plan to be in for Friday night ride.

zorro said...

I am in for 930am on Sat. Omni. Our meeting place is SS.

zorro said...

Hey Turbo: I will see you fri 530pm at SS, Will bring accom. cheque for Carolina.

Turbo said...

Argon Bob said...

Friday social ride, I'll be there.

Rat said...

I'll be there but a few minutes late as I have to get Mat to the bus depot

zorro said...

I will be at SS for 930am Sat. Hamtown Corner

rat said...

I should be in for Sat omni ride!

Omni said...

Smoothie, Firebird:

If you are coming to Hamtown and Burt's Corners in the morning and want us to meet you on Broad just leave a post ... I'll check in the morning.

See the rest of you on Saunders at 09:30.

Turbo said...

Thanks for the Friday and saturday rides, another 160km in the bank.
pretty soon more mileage that $$$.

Omni said...

I'll second that ... thank-you all for the company out to Hamtown Corner ... and to Turbo and Queen E for the opportunity to visit Carriage Hill :)

After seeing you home I wandered over to New Maryland and back, then popped over Spring Hill, arriving home with 105km.

A good day.

Herc said...

Holy Crap is about all I can say. You guys are machines

Bubbles said...

Great ride this morning. You should have seen Herc push it home from Coburns!!

Cookie, Rat only this week gave me an article titled "How Running Makes you Fat", which, as you can imagine I was only too pleased to receive! He thought I might find iti "helpful". I was going to share it with you but you really didn't fit the running part...

Laszlo said...

Thanx for the great (social) ride on Friday. I will be on lifesupport for the next couple of days.
