Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus

If you think nobody ever wins these things…. Well a fellow DFO employee Dr. Gilles Lacroix from St. Andrews called me last week with the Great news.
SEE BELOW, Gilles knew the answer and emailed the site. About a month later he received and email, thought it was spam, but then went and checked the Ridley site and found that the email was from the same person as the PR marketing director of Ridley. He replied and the wheels are turning for his new bike to arrive. They got him to send his measurements and asked what frame color her preferred.
Gilles is a long time cyclist, before it was cool, in his mid 50’s now his next big adventure is taking a 3 month “unpaid” leave of absence this winter and going to Spain. To cycle the winter away.

PROMOTION:
Here at Cycling TV, we're obviously very enthusiastic about the Vuelta a Espana. So too are Ridley, who'll be watching their bikes performing to the highest standard in their third Grand Tour of the year. It seems only fair that we combine our enthusiasm, to offer something special to all of the cycling fans who're so passionate about the races we're both involved with. This is what we've come up with: We're offering you the chance to win one fantastic Ridley Excalibur road bike.
The Ridley Excalibur is a super light 1.1kg carbon frame, matched with full carbon monocoque forks, a Fulcrum wheelset and fully equipped with Shimano Ultegra. It was the team bike of the ill-fated Pro Tour team Unibet, and performed exceptionally during the Spring Classics of 2007. The Excalibur's geometry and tubing make it fast and stiff, not to mention comfortable enough for extended, high-stress rides, which is why we're so pleased to be offering you the opportunity to get your hands on one.
Sign up now and watch the Vuelta for your chance to win this incredible $4,000 bike! We'll be announcing the question during our live coverage.
The Vuelta is available with the Silver, Gold, Gold North America and Vuelta packages. The competition ends September 21st. Good luck!

Can anyone suggest a good training video? I'm getting bored with the two I have, namely Spinervals Aerobase compilation and Spinervals Hillacious 24.0.

I've added swimming to the training mix: I thought I was slow on the bike!

A big thanks to Turbo and Darlene for the xmas GOP and social. Erin seemed to enjoy her first dose of the pain, and I'm sure she'll be back for more.

To those that we won't see before the holidays, on behalf of Erin and I both, Merry Christmas!
