No Doubt: How did the race go in Wentworth? We were thinking about you yesterday morning on our ride. No doubt you kicked some butt!
Well Wentworth wasn't as intense as some of the previous races. 4 laps of 26kms in 28degree heat with a 15k TT to start. I went ballistic on the TT for what I feel is my best TT effort ever. I still managed to lose 1m55sec on the leader and ended up in 5th. So in the RR Garrett Mcleod Broke away in the hills on the 2nd lap and Lorenzo and I went with him. We slacked off for the next 2 laps and then I "attacked" over and over again on the last lap but couldn't drop a semi-cramping Garrett or a fresh-from-not-pulling Lorenzo. I made a slight mistake at the end, and the finish line snuck up on me. I ended up in the front when we seen the line and hammerred out a leadout. Garrett went by me like a cannonball and Lorenzo followed. Finished 3rd in the sprint but made up plenty of time to get 3rd overall in the GC.
I hope you cursed Lorenzo all the way as being a sandbagger, lazy ass, no good pussy.
Good show.
Question?
Is OSB dead?
Come on guys, great Friday night turnout, however only Mitch, myself and Scar out Saturday and Monday. Well Woody was present Monday. Whats up?
Perhaps it is time for us to get back together with Rad Edge for Monday and Wednesdays?
25 Paid members and only a few show up?
Great Job, Adam. Your a force!!!
I know that some of you, Cookie and Turbo, will find this hard to believe, but I saw a cougar while biking. For the record, it was a bear I saw in Canterbury.
On Sunday I was biking in the mountains, Bow Valley, and a cougar raced across the road in a panic. He darted across the street in front of me as I was riding along the shoulder.
Thankfully, he either ignored me, or did not notice me. I was amazed and scared at the same time. They are huge and fast.
Turbo and Cookie....No, it was not a large house cat or a deer. Also, I was not dehydrated or drunk, as you suggested when I saw the bear.
Oh we believe you stinky ???
Cougar's would have no interest in this old 46 year old either.
But perhaps you could clarify the term cougar. as my discussions with some of the boyz the infamous Cougar has made some conversational apperaances. With our hope being that they would run TOWARDS US.
Tank could best explain the perplxing question.
cheers and hope your enjoying your SUMMER odd 8.
That must be the Western Cougar that you saw, Stinky. I am only familiar with the Eastern Cougar, with most confirmed sightings at the Wrinkle Ranch (20/20 Club). They also are huge and fast and tend to ignore me as well.
I hope you are having a great summer. We are trying not to be bitter that we have to work back here.

Well, I continue tomiss OSB rides due to the work schedule, I seem to be working evenings on M,W,
I have had alot of lonely old rides.
Tommorrow, Thursday I am off all day so can ride anytime. Anyone available for a morning or afternoon or 530 ride fromthe Y?
I am working until 0100h but if there is company I can make an early am ride.
The elusive cougar is quite common in Brevard as well as the wrnkle ranch.
hey Rat, funny how we all have a story, i sprained my ankle and trying to get it to mend. field work doesn't help. I'm game to give it a try tomorrow at Y for 5:30. But go with you most appealing option. Also I'm off Friday so would like to do an AM ride. Early enough to leave a recharge for Friday night social spin.
Wed. Eve Ride: Fantastic. and a few more riders including Newfie(ever some strong) showing up.

Hey Turbo is the "Stinky and the Bear" sighting similar to the "Billycolt" sighting in rusagonis last fall. You will have to fill me in.
Who is riding tonight Rain or Shine?
I'll take the rain over sweltering heat any day. I plan to ride at a Friday "social" pace. That way, my smilometer will be reading high.
Rocket; glad to hear you will be riding. I'll be riding too.
Not riding tonight, at the Highland Games in Antigonowhere. However plan on getting completely shit faced at the Ceilidh....giant beer tent lots of Scots in kilts with hairy legs and that's jut the women

anyone us for a sunday Am ride?
Sunday AM ride:
9AM departure from 830 George St.
Burton Loop.
Hey Pinky: I'd love to join you & Turbo tomorrow AM but I won't be riding for a long time. I wrenched my right knee fishing with my boys. It's been a week and I still can't bear any weight. Enjoy the ride and hopefully I'll be back sooner than later.
I'm getting dressed, see you at nine.
Mel
Great sunday morning ride, Cool yet warm, dry but wet, slow but fast.
Good company
I concur with Turbo about the Sunday morning ride...and Pinky and Rat even wore matching outfits! I'm looking forward to lots more great rides this summer. Great to hear about the adventures of Smoothy and Firebird!!
In this the year of our lord, 2008, otherwise known as the Summer of Lovin' Tank, I decree that the 3rd Annual Tour De Sour Dough will take place on Saturday August 16th at 8:30.
All OSB Club Members (ie dues paid) are not only most welcome but I wouldn't want to do that bitch of a hill thru Zealand without y'all (ok, I actually do it almost every Sunday, but it would be WAAYYY better with you along for the ride).
Let me know if you can make it.
