Anyone interested in a ride Tuesday morning? I am off all week.

Great Monday night ride, 9-11 persons. Painfully Fun! Lovely summer night.
Congrats to Lady Jazz on her new Steed.

Tonight was like a Team Time Trial, everyone trying to pull hard at the front! My tired legs! Admit it, yours are tired too!

Thanks for the nice easy ride on Monday night...lots of time for chatting and catching up with Woody, Greg V and Dr. Bubbles, (in between throwing up a little and cramping a lot..) .enjoyable all around.

Summer of Lovin Tank would have enjoyed it!

Do any of you cyclist/music fans have an MP3 copy of "Bicycle Race" from Queen to email me for a project? If so, thanks,
Mel

Hey Cookie, I am off all week as well. I should have checked the blog and we could have had a ride in the am. What about Thursday?

Cookie said...

Hey Rat: A ride on Thursday sounds good. I'll have to see if I survive the Wednesday ride first, though.

"Survive the Wed ride"

What is that suggesting??

Cookie said...

That means it's "Go Time", Pinky. Make sure you bring your "mental advantage"! :)

Damn! Sorry I'm missing it! Ms. Jazz is riding tonight with a friend. See y'all Friday.

Speed is OSB. Man I haven't seen 40 plus km per hour for so long . I think the only time we dropped below 40 kpm was when I was pulling which wasn't very long.
Greg what did you get your speed to 50 kpm , whatever it was it was to much for me to handle. Thanks for the ride guy's . I am looking forward to a clam social Friday ride :)

Man that Bubbles is some srong!

hey Cookie are you still up for a Thursday ride if so when. I need to be home for supper tomorrow night so will ride anyime between 0900 and 1500h.

Great ride tonight. Thanks Turbo and Pinky for keeping me going. I was going to throw in the towel (or throw-up) a number of times near the end but pushing me to keep going helped. I can't wait for Friday...and a SOCIAL ride.

Rat: Let's see what the weather does. We may have to wait out the rain and go a little later.

Not only is Bubbles strong, but my god can that girl accessorize! Do we have an OSB award for that?

Wed night ride. Awesome. A great crew; terrific pace line work kept things very safe; wonderful attacks and ahhhhhh the speed!

Firebird: Great to have you back in the pack.

Beautiful wednesday ride, such lovely scenery... riding by the river!
Let me tell you all the stuff i Saw.
Most tires are black, but some come in shades of Grey and Blue, rear deralliers are pretty cool how they work, as the spring loaded mechnism moves up as the rider in front on you go into the smallest ring on their cassette. On some rides people hardly ever use their rear brakes as you never see the little pads squeeze together. Oh yeah the river was on the right on the way down and on the left on the way back.

I think think the rain has us trunped oday Cookie but we will wait and see if it clears off.
Can use the rest this am after Cookie made us crumble last night.

Yes...Great ride and pace. Nice to see everyone enjoyed the suffering as much as I did. King, I was quite surprised actually as I was moving towards the 50kph so quickly...probably why I came so close to them with the help of Firebird but then ran out of steam.

Nice comment Turbo...I was laughing so hard I thought I would pass a gall stone;-) Actually, in my defence when I was planning the week rides I had titled the Wednesday ride "Easy River Ride". Somehow the word 'Easy' got dropped....like many of us last night. I was just trying to stay with the bigger group, then I wasn't sure if it was ahead or behind. But it sure was enjoyable.
Yes Bubbles, Friday 'Is' an easy pace...no puking involved. :-)

Hilarious posts..best this summer. Think Summer of Tank and Scar had a nice ride around Gros Morne Park yesterday so they likely hurt today too!

Anyone going in the TT on Sunday at King's Landing. I think I'll be wearing the OSB Jersey in a race for the first time on Sunday (if all the stars are in alignment!)

Anonymous said...

Hey Jazz, I'll be at the TT Sunday as well. Sportin' my OSB jersey and new Giro goblin helmet. I think I'm finally aero, we'll see. 40km of PAIN!

Meier in the Tour in '09? How cool would it be to see him in his new National Championship kit.

Thought I posted our intentions to ride out to "Blow me Down Harbour"....oh well must have been pulled by police.

Scar and The Summer of Tank just put in 98km, Corner Brook to Blow me Down Harbour, and back. If you have never been to NFLD I highly recommend.

Cheers

Jean-Guy: Based on the weather, do you anticipate a ride tonight, or do we go straight to the partying?

This is the present radar. No bike for me. I'll be there just after 6 PM.

I agree with Summer of Tank; NF is pretty amazing; lived there for 2 years; very much worth visiting. Tank and Scar: we miss you.

Are you guys having a sexy party?

Must ride, so beer can be drunk.
Rain or not.

Thanks to Firebird and Mrs. Firebird for a great evening!

To watch the Tour live tomorrow, go to http://www.steephill.tv/ then click on the yellow Tour de France on the right side and then click on "Live Internet". Click on Live Video of Eurosport in one browser and then open Internet Audio in another browser to hear it in English.
I'm rooting for Cadel! He can do it!
Good luck.

Thanks to "The Firebirds" for a great evening last night. I think that's what we've been missing this year.

Another good Saturday morning ride with breakfast in Burt's Corner and quicker ride home. Perfect!

Welcome :) The wet ride was fun too.
For those interested in having their names 'painted' on their bike frames...the lady's name is Debb Ferris-Bates 452-7884. Last house on right at top of Mcleod hill.
