> Here the RACE is EPIC!!! Long and hard and RACE. Today was 122 kilometers up and down two mountain passes (3000 meter total vertical) with the entire first 85 kilometers in the rain. But, we did really well for two Maritimers. Don,t look in the paper for our names because we didn,t win. But we are proud of our achievements to finish in OSB style and in one piece. We have first class help, great hotels and nice scenery that is except for the second mountain pass since it was so cloudy that the view which must have been exceptional we missed totally. We will have to come back!! All is well, think of you guys often as you would all like this. It is not easy to get internet so I dont know when I can write again but tomorrow could be easier and hopefully the weather will be better. We are in Italy now. The organization is second to none with italian police blocking traffic at intersections and road closures for a good part of the course. Wow, too much. To give you an idea of the caliber of our Canadian Team, Tom and Leah are leading the mixed catagory and 10 minutes ahead after two stages. (By the way, Leah is a pro biker and Tom her coach was on the national team) . We are both healthy and not too sore. Ready for stage three tomorrow. We are drinking bear as we write the note.
Firebird and Smoothy.

Good ride tonight. That must've been close to the biggest group ride I've ever been on. Had some nice cruising pacelines and occasional looping back (in true OSB fashion), had some attacks and sprints (in true Radical Edge fashion), and had some good recovery beverages on the padio afterwards. Good to see so many new faces out.

IF anyone is traveling to PEI bike for breakfast or Cabot trail (labor day weekend) a young Fredericton rider named Johnathon is looking for a ride.

HI guys and gals.

I am planning on riding in the am as I have visitors coming for friday evening so at this point can't make the cookie ride.

I don't expect any full ride companions but I plan on doing the Gagetown ferry loop going up the north side cross over at the Burton Bridge and head to Gagetown from the south side come back via Jemseg back over the bridge and home via Lincioln. I guess it is a figure of 8.

I will leave the Y at 0830 +/- 15 minutes if there is any interest in a commute part of the way.

Great ride Rat, we went out that way last night from the shop and just jumped on the new TCH at the Shell and then went to the north side from there. Alot of sprint signs! If you leave from New Maryland and use the new TCH bridge to cross the Jemseg, you'll still get 120km in. I can't wait for cookies!

Cooookies! Can't wait. Remember No Doubt stuffing too many cookies?? Today I invited a woman, Teo, to join us tomorrow. It's a great route - should be a fantastic ride. And Cara, if you are reading this, come join us for an easy spin - really!!!

Turbo, I'm in too. Went to Woolastock today to try out the new Trek Fuel EX8. Have never been on full suspension before. It just eats up the trails. Though I think I was on the easiest of trails. Having fun learning (you'd never know from the odd scream I let out!)
